a5c7b9f00b A gang of bank robbers fight their way out of a zombie-infested London. This British movie is about a group of inept criminals who decide to rob a bank so they can save their grandfather&#39;s retirement home from being demolished by developers. Meanwhile on another building site some workers dig up an old graveyard and they get bitten by the &quot;undead&quot; which sets off a chain reaction. Then the bank robbers are cornered by the police while in the process of the robbery, but when they exit they find that they are all deada result of the horde of zombies. They have to get to the retirement home before the zombies do! The trailer for this movie actually represents what you get very, very well. Quite a bit of gore and funny moments. In fact, I thought that I would find it less funny than I did. There is some really witty writing here.<br/><br/>However, what already bothered me in the trailer really did not sit well with me in the movie too. Namely when the writing goes from witty to dim-witted. Mostly because of those one-liners. Although even some of the serious dialog seems just too unnatural and clichéd.<br/><br/>Also, for my taste, there is a little bit too much cutting to a certain location where people are stuck. There is nothing going on aside from some of the pretty awful dialog I just referred to.<br/><br/>A minor complaint, since there is still plenty of gory action going on, would be that there are some scenes in which gore spatters from off-screen where I would have preferred to see the action on-screen.<br/><br/>In the end, it is about a fun, gory ride and &quot;Cockneys vs Zombies&quot; sure delivers when it comes to that. However, productions such&quot;Tucker and Dale vs Evil&quot; or &quot;Shaun of the Dead&quot; have demonstrated that one doesn&#39;t have to rely on formulaic dialog and one-liners so heavily in order to create a fun splatter film that is actually fun. I must admit being British I probably will enjoy this more then an American or anyone else from another country would that is just fact. This film isgoodthe title of the film suggests it had the potential to be a fun zombie flick that provides laughs but don&#39;t expect your next Oscar actor to come out of this film. This narrative of this film is that a bunch of disgruntled teenagers and old aged pensioners must fight off the Zombie apocalypse and this film really provides the laughs that it should have done. Even though in my opinion one character steals the show over the others, the Granddad Ray who is hilarious, brave and just plain awesome. I also enjoyed how this film really made fun of the concept of zombies and how they move and things like that made me laugh, however, apart from one outrageous part of the film nothing really made me laugh loudly which was a disappointment. But overall the acting in this film isn&#39;t fantastic but there is a lot of laughs and comedic violence so this is a very good film in my opinion. As bluntly unimaginativeits title.
